- TG Metals has updated the Van Uden resource to JORC 2012 compliance
- Resource of 227,140oz contained gold contained entirely within optimised pit
- Potential for further growth through infill drilling outside the pit boundary
Special Report: TG Metals has passed a key milestone after updating the resource at its Van Uden gold project in WA’s Forrestania Greenstone Belt into compliance with the JORC 2012 standard.
The new resource of 6.35Mt grading 1.15g/t for 227,140oz of contained gold is constrained by the pit shell and confirms the deposit is continuous over a strike length of at least 2.5km.
TG Metals (ASX:TG6) notes that while everything outside the pit shell is unclassified and not reported, it does present target areas for further infill drilling to bring them up to JORC 2012 compliance.
Additionally, all mineralisation on the downdip eastern side remains open.
To top it off, recent drilling reported on May 5 has extended the modelled mineralisation to beyond 150m vertical depth, indicating the optimised pit has further potential to take in greater depths with deeper drilling.
“Updating the MRE to JORC 2012 compliance is a key milestone for the Van Uden Project. It is a foundation for the commencement of the mining studies as we rapidly progress Van Uden towards production, as well as a guide for future infill and extensional drilling,” chief executive officer David Selfe said.
“The new MRE is an in-pit resource and we are confident of delivering future MRE growth from the drilling of numerous targets identified outside the resource.
“The drilling of the existing stockpiles, which are not included in this MRE, is progressing well and we look forward to providing results as they come to hand.”

Van Uden project
The Van Uden project consists of four granted mining licences, three granted exploration licences, two miscellaneous licences and two exploration licence applications within the Forrestania portion of the Southern CrossForrestania Greenstone Belt – a north-north-westerly trending crustal domain that extends for over 300 km.
It covers a 2.5 km long section of the 54 km long Van Uden shear zone that hosts other notable gold deposits such as Teddy Bear to the north and Bad Bat East to the south.
The project also lies to the west of the Mt Holland lithium mine, south of the operating Marvel Loch gold Plant and southeast of the Edna May gold plant.
Van Uden has recorded historical production of 11,142oz of gold from the Tasman and Diemens open pits as well as surface gold-bearing laterites.
TG6 is currently carrying out a sonic drill program over four existing stockpiles at Van Uden to confirm gold grades and advance metallurgical test work.
This will be followed by subsequent evaluation of in-pit mining potential guided by analysis of the new resource.
